Just found out about Nau myself. A friend told me about them in the context of "it would be my dream job to work for such an extraordinary company" fashion and functionality in a realistic (for these times) business model. Sounds like portland to me.

I've been catching a lot of press lately about environmentally friendly designers (including Nau). On the high-end is Anna Cohen, who rocks fairly hard and spent a lot of time designing in Europe prior to taking the leap to follow her passions. She's incredibly intense about it and wickedly articulate. It's an amazing groundswell and I'm sickly happy. Inspiring stuff!

Thanks for the note Ian! And for the inspiration. I can tell you that the boss and I have been talking a lot about the "Little House" movie on your site, not to mention talking a lot about the environmental impact of our own little business. Keep stirring the pot!

Austin,

Thanks for the love. its really, really appreciated. You and Natalie are making bikes, we're making clothes but I know the spirit of our respective ventures is very similair. We're coming from the same place. That's why we randomly, or perhaps not so randomly, bump into one another. All the best.
