S’mitten Factory Up and Running/Sweetpea Store Now Open

BikeCraft II last week at City Hall was simply amazing, and after a short break are back to making our felted wool lobster gloves (Code Name “S’mittens”). In other words: We are now taking orders; operators are standing by.  As these are from recycled sweaters, we can’t really guarantee colors, but if you want a pair we can tell you what we have available. We have a little bit of a wait list, so getting them out before the holidays might be tricky. And for those super crafty ladies out there, we will be open sourcing our knit pattern after one last revision to make sure that the pattern is right. (See a full knit version here.)

We also have a couple of our handmade stainless steel wine stoppers for sale. Natalie actually made one of these for me last year for Christmas, and we thought we would share the love. Hand forged at the Sweetpea Factory.

Still Life with Wine Stoppers and Spoke Card

And finally, we have some more of Natalie’s bike art. We have the Bike Block Print, and a couple of new ones. Collect all four!

Handy internet ordering for all items through PayPal via the Store link above. Thanks for your support. It’s keepin’ the dream alive!

I wanted to write and say that I really like my Smittens.
They keep my hands fuzzy warm.
And the lavendar floral print goes nicely with my periwinkle bicycle.
    Yum.

Still grooving with the gussets. My smitterns might not quite match, but they’ve got something special going for them — I know because I keep finding them in John’s coat pockets. Let me know if you’re having another work party.
