Sweetpea Bicycles is a member company of 1% for the Planet, which means that we donate 1% of every sale directly to environmental causes. We do this because there is an unavoidable environmental cost to designing and building bikes: All our bikes are built in Portland, Oregon, but they are sourced from all over the world. We also do this because we believe that being small doesn’t get us off the hook.

Traditionally, bike companies put a tubing sticker to tell you what’s beneath the paint. To tell you what kind of steel, aluminum, or carbon fiber your bike is made of. At Sweetpea Bicycles, we replace that sticker with a 1% for the Planet sticker. We do this to show you what we are made of, but also to remind ourselves to ask if we did everything we could to build clean.
